The Association of Polo Schools & Pony Hirers (APSPH)

On the 9th May 2013 the APSPH was incorporated and was fully launched in the Summer of 2014. The APSPH, the website and its social media site, gives access to information on Membership, Licensing, Insurance and importantly a handbook for those looking to do their Riding Establishment Licence for the first time. The HPA have taken an extremely supportive and enthusiastic stance and will continue to be active in this regard. 

We aim to:

  • Provide information to guide and support all existing and emerging Polo Schools and Pony Hirers
  • Promote higher welfare and safety standards throughout polo
  • Deliver a ‘Gold Standard’ across our sector of the industry in all aspects of our business
  • Ensure consumers have the information and understanding they need to make informed choices about where and with whom they learn to play polo or from whom they hire polo ponies

We invite all current Polo Schools and Pony hirers to join us in promoting the association throughout the UK and help set the ‘gold standard’ across the industry. It is important to stress that this association is looking to include every commercial hirer who is prepared to meet the requirements established by law, the HPA and the committee.

The association is a positive step forward for us all to try and safeguard the future of our industry and we look forward to your support and to welcoming you as a member in the near future.
